LIEN & STEVEN HOUSE

Lien and Steven House envisioned a home that would become a peaceful retreat, seamlessly nestled into the hillside while honoring the natural surroundings. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Balinese compound, the design consists of three distinct pavilions, each carefully positioned to respond to the land's contours and existing vegetation. These pavilions not only enhance the aesthetic harmony of the site but also ensure that the home coexists with its environment, preserving the lush greenery and natural elements. Elevated on stilts, the structure minimizes ground disturbance, facilitates natural ventilation, and protects the home from moisture. Sustainable materials, including reclaimed teak wood, clay roof tiles, and steel framing, are thoughtfully integrated, creating a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and modern construction techniques. The design maximizes breathtaking views of the valley, with every space carefully oriented to capture the surrounding beauty. This home embodies a perfect balance between eco-conscious living, timeless design, and an intimate connection with nature.
