​Bersama Alternative Space is designed as a creative hub for culture, art, and community. A large lawn and open areas enable multifunctional use, while the preserved central joglo—combined with steel elements—creates a striking contrast between old and new. Its central placement allows 360° visual and spatial connections between indoors and outdoors, supported by passive cooling systems and surrounding ponds that naturally lower temperatures. The joglo’s redesigned, steeper roof improves climate durability and extends usable space. A deliberate mix of old and new materials—wood, steel, stone, and cement—adds depth and texture, embodying the client’s vision of an artistic, flexible, and timeless space.
